Getting back on track
Every year around the month of February there is this feeling in the air… of losing track of goals and resolutions and just postponing to next year. I am definitely not an exception. I try to keep up with a good habit I have set… and of course, for some reason I break the streak. Then the inner critic in me proudly starts saying: “Why do you even try? Better yet, don’t set any goals. Then at least you will not be disappointed with yourself!” 9 out of 10 times I gave up, but then I read something that started helping me to re-frame and get back on track:
“The real difference between people who stay consistent and those who fall off track isn’t that they never miss a day. It’s that they know how to reset – quickly and without guilt.”
I absolutely feel empowered to continue after that. Building this website is one example of a project I keep getting back to, after I have skipped few days. Quickly. Without guilt. And actually with excitement.
